Trade Financing💵 offered by the Export-Import Bank🏦 of the United States to Advance Trade with Africa®

-- On the Trade with Africa® Network I host Trade Experts, Policy Makers, Business Executives, Government Officials, Investors, Exporters, Buyers, Diaspora Leaders, Service Providers and others around the world looking to advance and achieve their trade with Africa goals.

Trade Financing is critical to increase trade with Africa.

Over the years as I have convened trade and investment stakeholders to advance the trade with Africa dialogue, it became very important to also bring in leaders and representatives from reputable Financial Institutions to serve as resource for growing trade. This decision was particularly based on feedback I received from an active U.S. investor who narrated to me the challenges he had faced several years ago when he was securing funding for a multimillion dollar project he was driving in Africa. It was a painful process for him because most banks would not support his " Africa project". Not all financial institutions have in place the "financial instruments" required to support international trade.

The truth is that not all financial institutions are setup to advance and process cross-border transactions.

The United States Export-Import Bank (EXIM) is actually one of those that can assist U.S. based companies looking to export to Africa. I was therefore happy to host such representatives from EXIM Bank's Washington D.C Headquarters to share more during my event 2019 Trade with Africa Business Summit held in Chicago. Plans for the 2021 edition is underway and I hope that you will be attending. Below is a testimonial from EXIM representative
