I have had the unique privilege to engage 1 on 1 with a number of active investors to better understand how they perceive the future of Africa and also how they seek to engage with the region to invest. Some of those conversations have been made public while most have continued to be held privately behind closed doors. One of such important conversations that I have shared publicly and remains of evergreen relevance is one with Tyson Foods Former CEO - Donnie Smith. Donnie spent 36 years in the food and agriculture business and rose through the ranks to lead Tyson Foods; a $40 billion agriculture business. Food security remains top of mind for him and he offers his expertise, network and experience to Africa as he continues to actively invests in the region particularly in developing the 'Poultry Supply Chain'.
